This was the one movie at the Cleveland International Film Festival that I wasn't going to see. I didn't have to watch this movie, I lived this movie just a few months back. I certainly wasn't alone in my fears and my need for avoidance. Almost everyone I talked to said they weren't going.

Silverlake Life: The View from Here is a video diary of filmmaker Tom Joslin and his lover of 22 years, Mark Massi. Both men have AIDS and the video chronicles their last months together before Josling dies.
Set in the heart of Los Angeles' Silverlake neighborhood, the film follows the two men through their daily triumphs and sorrows, struggling valiantly to comfort and care for each other as even the simplest activities become excruciatingly difficult. Everyday chores, medical treatments, even
